VIP List

First step, determine who is on your VIP list. These are the people who know you best and are more than likely already in the wedding party. Usually this is your immediate family and closest friends. In addition, your VIP list may be family or friends that aren’t in the wedding party but will definitely be in the front row of your ceremony and won’t want to miss a thing!

Family

After deciding who will be on your VIP list, gather the names of your immediate family and your favorite extended family members. You do not need to invite every member of your families, but having those who you are the closest with will make your day that much more special. So in addition to your immediate family, consider inviting your favorite cousins and grandparents!

Friends

Finally, consider all of your friends and acquaintances. For a more intimate wedding only invite your closest friends at the moment. The people who mean the most to you and that you interact with often. However, if you are planning a large wedding then opt to invite all of your friends, co-workers and extended family.

Most importantly throughout the wedding planning process, don’t feel bad for not being able to invite everyone you know. It’s expensive to get married and plan a wedding, it should be spent with the people who mean the most to you – not those that when you look back may forget they were even present!
