Let’s explore what you’ll need to know if you elope to Gatlinburg in Cades Cove!

Location of LeQuire Cemetery and Chapels

As you drive southwest into Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Laurel Creek Road, you’ll come upon Cades Cove Scenic Loop. And let me tell you, it truly is scenic, with unmatched beauty! LeQuire Cemetery itself is about an hour out from Gatlinburg; you’ll find the historical chapels along the way.

Features of Your Elopement at LeQuire Cemetery and Chapels

A Gatlinburg elopement at LeQuire Cemetery Overlook will showcase the scenic Smoky Mountain vistas as you say your vows under a lone shade tree. Rustic and extremely private, the LeQuire field is ideal for a natural elopement that features the Smokies in the distance.

The Primitive Baptist chapel and the Methodist chapel were constructed from 1890-1910 and remain untouched by time. White walls, crude pews, and wood paneling create a nostalgic feel here in the heart of the Smoky Mountains.

What You Need to Know about LeQuire Cemetery and Chapels

It’s worth noting that due to the historical nature of LeQuire Cemetery and the various chapels in the Cove, there is no power, cell service, or restroom services in these locations. Marriage and parking permits are required. And don’t forget to arrange for a minister or wedding officiant!
