Special Locations Along Greenbrier

Consider taking a morning hike before the elopement ceremony! Two notable hiking trails start at Greenbrier, Porters Creek Trail and Ramsays Cascades. Porters Creek is one of the best hikes in the Smokies for taking in all the beautiful wildflowers in the spring. An easy 4-5 mile hike that ends at Greenbrier Road, about 4 miles from Hwy 321.


Ramsays Cascades is the perfect journey to explore some of the most show-stopping waterfalls in the park. While this hike is a little bit tougher at a moderate level and 8 miles round-trip it is well worth it. To reach the trailhead, turn onto Greenbrier Road from Hwy 321, go 3.2 miles, turn left at the sign to Ramsay Cascades, go 1.5 miles until the road dead ends at the trailhe



After you elope to Gatlinburg in Greenbrier, enjoy a picnic at Greenbrier with access to picnic tables and grills. It's the perfect spot for an after ceremony meal as a newly married couple!
